Project Manager- Responsible for the coordinated management of multiple projects to achieve financial savings targets, overcome project roadblocks to ensure project success.  Escalate project jeopardy’s to ensure project success.  Work with vendor’s to coordinate project dates and determine type of orders required.  Work with customers to schedule site visits along with scheduling time and dates for groom and answer any questions regarding the project that the customer may have

 

              Broadwing Communications, Austin, TX              11/2001 to 3/2004

Circuit Coordinator-Process disconnect request for all type of circuits.   Enter order into Oracle

Database.  Submit Access Service Request to LEC or CAP to disconnect the local loops.  Research

Circuits to find all off-net pieces of circuits to make sure all portions get disconnected.  Update order

notes on a regular basis on status of the order.  Provide status updates to customers and account managers

 

Broadwing Communications, Austin, TX10/2000 to 11/2001

Project Manager-Tracked projects to add additional network capacity for fiber optic circuits to   Broadwing’s network.  Maintained spreadsheets with updated status for each project.  Worked with planning and engineering groups to get status updates and determine scope of projects.  Updated circuit designers as needed.   Created power point presentations for management as needed.

 

IXC Communications/Broadwing, Austin, TX9/1998 to 10/2000

      Circuit Coordinator-Input circuit order request into an Oracle database.  Design circuit path

across network for DS1’s and DS3’s.   Order local loop with LEC or CAP.  Work with sales                                             representatives, customers, vendors and field operations on orders to get circuits turned up by customers desired due date.                 

 

MCI, Richardson, TX             11/1997 to 9/1998

      Topology Engineer-Update the NSPS (Oracle) database to operate local switch   

                  and DXC equipment.  Build both Siemens and Nortel switch information into

                  NSPS and setup switch ports for both the trunk and line side of the switch.

      Also setup and maintain the Alcatel DXC-3/1 and DXC-3/1/0

      equipment in NSPS.

     

MCI, Richardson, TX            9/1996 to 11/1997

                  Traffic Engineer-Prepare implementation plans and oversee the implementation of

                   Network impacting projects on the MCI Mail and Siemens X.25 networks.  Responsible

                   for the assignment, configuration, tracking and reporting of network resources,

                   ports, available node capacity, and network topology maps.  Created and published

ACS, Dallas, TX11/1995 to 9/1996

    Technical Analysis-Monitor and maintain customers network in an MVS environment. 

    Monitor and check for problems of customer’s online regions, dial-up lines, Tandem

    system, Front end processor, JES lines.  Open and update solve problem tickets for

    customer.  Notify customer’s helpdesk if the problem is on the customer’s side.  Use

                Netview, Control M, TSO, Omegamon, and Solve to monitor and try to resolve

                 problems. Setup and prepare charts and other documents as needed by management.

 

MCI, Richardson, TX                        6/1993 to 11/1995

    Engineer-Provisioning Internal Private Line Circuits for all the different type of

networks.   Perform order entry into the MCI systems for all internal data and voice service.  Perform     provisioning of all internal data circuits through MCI systems.  Update all engineering activities through Netpro and send out ASR’s if required.  Write the path for the circuit through MECCA or IPWS.  Help on specific projects if needed.  Used initiative and independent judgment to complete tasks.  Set up and prepare complex reports.
